Producing a Professional DJ Mix - Sydney

Note: Previous DJ experience and knowledge of fundamentals is required. (Complete Skills course is recommended)

If you’ve ever wanted to record a DJ mix with multiple layers, original edits, vocal drops and effects with immaculate arrangement and a professional sound, this is the course for you. The course focuses on the technical abilities and techniques of mult-itrack layering and editing a mix to perfection, adding multiple layers of sounds, samples and effects to the final stages of mix-down and splitting of tracks.

This concise & practical 2 week course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to produce your own professional mix compilation and demo cd.

Multitrack Recording and Arrangement of songs
Pre Arranging and Re Editing Tracks
Automation of Mixer functions
Warping and Preparing songs, samples and Accapellas
Automating EQ and FX’s during transitions
FX’s Automation tricks and techniques
Assigning a MIDI controller for hands on automation
Dealing with tempo and tempo automation
Doing Live Recordings
Recording/Layering drops and voice overs
Recording Live transitions and post editing
Finalizing your mix – mixing down and optimizing levels
Bouncing and splitting the mix
Tips and Tricks for achieving a professional sound

Limit of 6 students per class
Top of the Line Professional DJ equipment
Each student has their own Digital DJ workstation through out the entire course, including: Mac Book laptops, Live 8, midi controllers, soundcards, CDJs, DJ Mixers and monitors and headphones.
Complete hands-on learning through out the entire course

Large Projector Screen display for all instructors practical demonstrations
Weekday Evening Classes

Attendance
This is a 2 week course. Students are required to attend one night a week for 2 consecutive weeks. Classes will start at 6pm and will end at approximately 8pm.
